ACROBATIC travel grants

Application to support travel expenses and/or conference fees in connection with presentation of ACROBATIC-affiliated projects

Support can be applied for in connection with participation in international and potentially national conferences. All members of ACROBATIC can apply, provided that the applicant, for conference support, will present a specific ACROBATIC-affiliated Work Package (WP) at a conference.

Information regarding ACROBATIC’s affiliated projects can be found here: ACROBATIC Work Packages. A total of 5 conference grants are awarded every six months, of up to DKK 5,000 each.

Application deadlines

The application deadline is the last day of each month, except for July and December.

Priority of applications

Younger researchers will be prioritized.
Applicants giving an oral presentation rather than a poster presentation will be prioritized.
Applicants who have not previously been granted a conference grant in the current year will be prioritized.
Participation in international conferences rather than national conferences will be prioritized.

Documentation and application submission

The following documentation is to be submitted in a combined PDF document to the scientific coordinator, Marie-Louise Holm, at info@acrobatic.dk.

Abstract

Clear indication of the presentation format: oral, poster, etc.
Documentation of conference fees.
Documentation of travel expenses.
Conference program, indicating the applicant’s participation, or other documentation of presentation.

Criteria for grant allocation

The abstract of the ACROBATIC-affiliated project to be presented at the conference will be published on ACROBATIC’s website (www.acrobatic.dk), where we also wish to publish the name and a possible portrait photo of the grant recipient. The use of a portrait photo on ACROBATIC’s website is voluntary. The grant recipient will be mentioned as affiliated with and supported by ACROBATIC on ACROBATIC’s website.
A visual abstract must be created for either LinkedIn and/or X, where ACROBATIC must be tagged. It is preferable that the visual abstract is a video presentation of the project, which can be recorded before and/or during the conference.
A completed consent form and a portrait photo, upon grant allocation, should be sent to info@acrobatic.dk as soon as possible and within 2 weeks after receiving the conference grant.
You must accept and participate in ACROBATIC’s ability to communicate about the conference grant in connection with presentations about ACROBATIC, as well as on ACROBATIC’s social media.
