Apply for funding

You are about to submit an application for an ACROBATIC grant. Please make sure you have read our guidelines before submitting.

Please also be aware that once you begin your application, you cannot save it for later, so you should have all information ready when you begin your submission. The following elements should be prepared before starting your submission:

  • General project information (WP, CFA, and/or NI)
  • Project title
  • Abstract
  • Visual abstract
  • Information on main applicant (name, degree(s), title(s), affiliation(s), phone number, email, CV, portrait picture, and declaration of consent for use of portrait picture)
  • Information on co-applicants (name, degree(s), title(s), affiliation(s), and email of each co-applicant)
  • Project description (background, hypothesis and purpose(s), methods, collaborators, patient involvement, time plan, practical feasibility, health economic conciderations, as well as clinical and national perspectives)
  • Budget

    General project information


    It is optional to include a visual abstract. The visual abstract should be of maximum one A4 page and attached as an appendix in the pdf format.

    Main applicant information

    Include a short CV, including a list of maximum 10 publications. The CV may be up to two A4 pages in total and only a file in the pdf format is accepted.

    Please upload a portrait picture to be used on our website as well as a signed declaration of consent for use of the portrait picture. The portrait picture should be of the main applicant and uploaded as jpg, png, or gif, while the declaration of consent can be downloaded at the guideline page and should be signed and uploaded as pdf.

    Project description

    Please provide a project description by inserting it into the textbox. The project description should be limited to 1600 words not including references. The project description should include the following sections:

    • Scientific background of the project

    • Hypothesis and purpose(s)

    • Method description, including study design, sample size assessment, and endpoint(s)

    • Collaborators (national including national coverage, international, interdisciplinary, NIs)

    • Patient involvement (actively engaging of patients in the development, evaluation, and implementation of the project, i.e. patients have a central role in decision-making and planning of research projects)

    • Description of how quality of life (utilization of validated tools and questionnaires designed to measure quality of life, such as EuroQol 5-Dimensions (EQ-5D), Short Form Health Survey (SF-36), or other relevant measurement instruments) and social inequality (i.e. inclusion of diverse population groups, stratification of data, cultural competence, access to treatment, patient’s perspective, and more) of the patient is addressed

    • Ethical considerations and how these are addressed

    • Time schedule (milestones)

    • Practical feasibility (workplace and resources)

    • Health economic considerations (analysis of the cost-effectiveness and economic aspects of a given healthcare treatment or intervention being investigated)

    • Clinical and national perspectives

    If any of the above sections cannot be addressed, this should be stated.


    If requested, a pdf file containing a table or a figure can be attached.

    Budget

    A total budget including already obtained funding together with a clear indication of what the applied funds are to be used for should be uploadet separately. Please use our project budget template which can be found at the guideline page. Remember to convert it to pdf before uploading.

    Submit application

    If you are satisfied with your application, please press the button below to submit your ACROBATIC grant application. The submission can take a few minutes, please be patient. You should receive a confirmation of succesful submission in your mailbox after you see the “Thank you for submitting your application.” on your screen. If you do not receive the confirmation, please check the junk mail folder.
