ACROBATIC held its 3rd scientific gathering at The Danish Cancer Society on April 18th. The recurring theme of the day was ‘Differentiation’.

ACROBATIC held its 3rd scientific gathering at The Danish Cancer Society on April 18th 2024. It was an insightful day looking into the Government’s new Health package with focus on cancer surgery related to:

  • ‘Cancer Plan V’
  • The Resilience Commision
  • … and hopefully soon from the ‘Structure Commision’

Above mentioned work from the commissions were perspectived from:

  • The Danish Cancer Society (Pernille Slebsager)
  • Organization of Danish Medical Societies (Per Vadgaard Andersen)
  • Danish Multidisciplinary Cancer Groups (Michael Borre)
  • Health economist (Jes Søgaard)
  • Wait times for cancer surgery treatment (Ismail Gögenur)

Differentiation was the recurring theme throughout the talks.

  • How do we differentiate our treatment according to our patient’s phenotype?
  • How can we improve the differentiation of our efforts regarding inequality?
  • Can we differentiate wait times?

Two of ACROBATIC’s affiliated projects were also presented by Henriette Vind Thaysen (WP 3.17: RESPONSE) and Sara Mølgaard Hansen (WP 3.6: Implementation of Patient-Reported Outcomes (PRO) in follow up after melanoma cancer).

ACROBATIC would like to thank you all for attending, and for the exciting and interesting debates that followed the presentations.
